REVIEWS
The little brother to the Duke 690. Half the size, half the power, but all the same fun and rideability! The ULTIMATE starter bike!
Performance
The 390 has a STRONG punchy rev happy motor that makes most of its power at the top end of the RPM range. This allows for beginner riders to stick with traffic and accelerate from lights with confidence and no fears of the front wheel pulling up or accelerating faster than desired. This motor loves to be revved in the mid-range! With 43 HP it is more powerful than its competitors. Anti-hopping clutch and reduced clutch lever tension similar to the 690, makes for very easy lever pulls and simple shifting.
Braking
Powerful brakes with a big single front disc and a non-invasive ABS system stops the Duke quickly and comfortably with very little effort. Adjustable levers allow the rider to perfect the brake lever to their desire. All very similar to its big brother, these brakes are A+++!!
Handling
Weighing a hair over 300 pounds, it is one of the most light weight starter bikes on the market. With such a low curb weight, the 390 feels like you’re riding a mountain bike! It maneuvers quickly and safely with any of the riders inputs. Even experienced riders will find themselves looking for corners to eat up!
Comfort
A soft, supportive and pre-formed seat keeps the rider in comfort. An upright riding position with high set handlebars does not allow rider fatigue to set in quickly. Seat height is very low, and would suit riders even as short as 5’2 and possibly less!
Rideability
The 390 is the go to bike for beginners. Incredibly easy to ride, light weight and with plenty of power to enjoy. Low seat height accommodates to even the shortest riders and a seat that hugs your bottom and keeps you from drifting on the seat. Beautiful styling keeps pedestrians eyes directed right at you 😉
