Recommended for riders with some experience. Triumph has created and molded the perfect balance between comfort and performance with the Street Triple R. A lively, unique engine coupled with agile steering and suspension, sharp braking and at-ease riding position makes the Street Triple one of the most delectable naked bikes on the market.
Performance
The street triple r’s buttery smooth inline 3 cylinder lives up to its hype! Incredibly pleasing throttle response and rev happy motor. Torque begins to grow low around 3,500 rpms and is carried and builds all the way through to 11,500rpms. The tantalizing induction grunt has you creating excuses to grab full throttle with every opportunity. Our triple is fitted with the “quick shifter” option which allows you to up shift from second gear and on, at partial or full throttle without the use of the clutch. The clutch lever is effortless and fully adjustable to fit your finger length. It engages at the end of the lever pull and requires a bit of revs to execute a smooth take off. A tall first gear is great for in city riding. Any speeds under 60 km/h can be held with ease in first with no real need to skip over neutral into second.
Handling
Fully adjustable preload, rebound and compression suspension allows you to fine tune the bike to your specific weight if you desire a honed in ride for track days or long trips. The Triple R is very lively in the corners and enjoys tight corners, but is very sophisticated at low speeds with great balance.
Brakes
Strong brake power from ABS assisted 310 mm front discs set with Nissan 4 piston calipers and 220mm Brembo single piston rears, stops the Triumph with confidence. The ABS is mildly intrusive but very effective as there is no risk of wheel lock up under heavy braking. The rear brake is also affective for mid corner braking and line adjustment.
Comfort
A uniformed, pliable and supportive seat with an upright riding position and raised handle bars accommodates for extended riding periods with very little rider fatigue. The ride height is quite low, which creates easy mounting and dismounting for shorter riders. But don’t be misled by the lowered ride height, the Triple R will still allow a tall rider to enjoy its pleasures at will.
